Tarzan rájött: ez a teremtmény tagolt hangokat ad ki, annak rendje s módja szerint beszél, de a nyelvet a majomember nem értette. Mégis arra következtethetett, hogy a „másik” többé-kevésbé ugyanolyan észbeli képességek birtokosa, mint ő. Más szóval: bár ez a fura szerzet itt vele szemközt farkat lóbál, s majomszerű keze-lába bütyökujja is, minden egyéb jelből ítélve kétségkívül – ember.

0240 FtNuma, a felsült oroszlán tehetetlenül morgott haragjában, miközben visszacsúszott a fal tövében a földre anélkül, hogy sikerült volna lerántania a menekülő majomembert. Már éppen nekikészülődött az újabb kísérletnek, amikor kiszemelt zsákmánya szagnyomában megérzett valamit, ami idáig elkerülte a figyelmét. Végigszaglászta a talajt azon a helyen, ahol Tarzan lába az imént érintette, és Numa morgása azonmód halk vinnyogásba váltott át, mert rájött, hogy ez ennek az emberállatnak a szaga, aki kiszabadította a wamabók verméből. Ki tudná megmondani, miféle gondolatok kavarogtak az állat busa fejében? A felsült haragnak mindenesetre nyoma sem látszott rajta. A hatalmas oroszlán megfordult, és a fal mentén méltóságosan elindult kelet felé.

Tászok-tetőtől a bosnyák piramisokig
02 600 FtA számítógépek világában az ember hajlamos azt gondolni, hogy könyvekre egyre kevésbé van szükség, hiszen ma már az elektromos könyvtárak is meglátogathatók a világháló segítségével. Hogy ezek ellenére mégis kitartunk mellette, annak egyik oka az a felismerés, hogy a könyv nélküli lakás rideg, embertelen. Kérem a Tisztelt Olvasót, tegyen egy próbát és azonnal érezni fogja az ilyen otthon jeges fuvallatát. De ugyanilyen rideg, gyökértelen és magányos az életünk, ha nem vállaljuk fel elődeink ránk hagyott műveltségét, a rovásírást. A Forrai Sándor Rovásíró Kör célja ennek megfelelően, hogy minden magyar legalább a nevét le tudja írni ezekkel a betűkkel. Eközben nem feledkezhetünk meg Isten által kijelölt feladatunkról, a tudás továbbadásáról, lehetőleg a fiatalabb korosztály számára, hogy megfelelő ismeretekkel felvértezve ne lehessen játékszere a hamis prófétáknak, téveszméknek, amelyekről e kötetben is szó lesz. Tudatosítanunk kell a nemzeti szellemiség felvállalóiban, hogy a rovásírás ismerete és a hozzá kapcsolódó történelmi háttér nélkül szinte hiábavalónak tűnik minden küzdelem az Igazságért, hogy a magyarság megmaradása javarészt ettől a tudástól függ. Legalább ennyire fontos, hogy eljussunk a már ismert rovásemlékek színhelyére, ahol megérezhetjük a múlt és őseink üzenetét, de még izgalmasabb, ha magunk fedezünk fel új rovásemlékeket. Ettől a felemelő élménytől fosztja meg magát az, aki a felfedezések helyett dolgozószobájában csupán a régi könyvekben megjelent emlékek egy-egy betűjének (újra) értelmezésével tölti idejét. Pedig van mit felfedezni a Tászok-tetőtől a rovásjeles bosnyák piramisig. Erről tanúskodnak e könyv lapjai.

Az akkori magyar államférfiak cselekedeteit nem lehet kielégítő módon megmagyarázni, ha az érvelés csak a Harmadik Birodalom geopolitikai nyomására, a szovjet veszélytől való félelemre és a magyar társadalom bizonyos rétegeiben meglévő, néha látens, gyakorta nyílt nemzetiszocialista szimpátiákra suprítkozik, de nem mutat rá egyúttal az 1920. június 4-én aláírt trianoni békeszerződésnek a magyar társadalomra gyakorolt hatására.

A Teleki-tragédiát is így kell kezelnie. Forrásként, az elmúlt évtizedek hazai közgondolkodásának lecsapódásaként. Meg aztán figyelmeztetésként. Ha nem tudjuk árnyaltan bemutatni közelmúltunk történéseit, akkor a közgondolkodás a legendák iránt fogékony marad.

Temesvári kalauz
01 000 FtA mi Temesvárunk Napjainkban egyre-másra jelennek meg a városi monográfiák, ismertetők, kalauzok, színes reklám-albumok. Román, német, angol, olasz nyelven mutatják be a város – Temesvár – történetét, iparát, fejlődését, kultúráját. Egy részük a múlt század negyvenes éveiben utoljára kiadott régió-történeti összefoglalók újabb kiadása, de akad közöttük olyan is, amely a kirándulóknak, látogatóknak szól, reklámcélokat követ. Aki alaposabban átlapozza ezeket, hamar észreveszi, hogy szinte valamennyi „kútforrása” a XX. század tízes éveiben összeállított dr. Borovszky Samu-féle Magyarország vármegyéi és városai sorozat jól dokumentált, szép kiállítású Temesvár kötete, amelyhez a jelenkori szerző itt-ott az azóta eltelt évszázad eseményeiről is csatol beszámolót. Magyar nyelvű várostörténeti kalauz, könyvalakban azóta sem látott napvilágot. Nehéz is felvenni a versenyt az elismert könyvvel, nem versenyezni, hanem a nyomában járni is nehéz. Pedig sokan igyekeznek megkeresni, azonosítani azokat a helyeket, épületeket, emlékműveket, amiket először ebből ismertek meg, innen tanultak meg értékelni. Megvannak-e még? Változtak-e? Mit közvetítenek felénk ma? Hiszen a lefolyt évtizedek alatt óriási változásoknak voltunk (vagyunk) szemtanúi.

Térképezett történelem
01 500 FtNagyon kevés embernek adatik két élet. Rónai Andrásnak megadatott. Élete első felében – a két világháború között – jelentős földrajztudós, Teleki Pál közvetlen munkatársa s élete második szakaszában viszont már európai rangú geológus. Aki csak ennyit tud róla, a legsikeresebb sorsteremtők közé sorolja őt is. Eszébe se jut, hogy a második életet az első teljes fölszámolásával kezdhette el. Ugyanis Teleki Pál öngyilkos golyója néhány éves késéssel őbeléje is belefúródott. Az Erdélyből elszármazó Rónai András azonban „tetszhalottként” csak alakot cserélt, lelket nem. Kettős életét megismerve, a szétdarabolás helyett, én inkább a rembrandti fény-árnyék drámaiságát fedeztem föl sorsában. 02 000 Ft„Nemegyszer villant fel előttem a kép, ahogy e könyv kéziratából halálom után legjobb barátaim egy-egy részletet őriznek fiókjukban, és olykor előveszik.
